We have finally come to the end of FFR’s 15th Official Tournament! 81 songs released involving 28 new Musicians, contested between 265 players for the best score, over 2 months of tournament-filled, edge-of-the-seat competition. "Soulless 6" was created as a sarcastic dare meant to mock the notion that someone could execute this particular series of inputs with such incredible speed and timing. Guitar Hero's gameplay centers on executing progressively more difficult series of inputs at the right times.

The video ends with the simple text, " Deemed impossible for 10 years, the last Soulless song is finally Full Combo'd :)."Įven those unfamiliar with the "Soulless" charts or Guitar Hero in general will appreciate the skill involved in achieving this feat and the unrestrained happiness expressed by CarnyJared. Once he realizes what he's done, he stares speechlessly at the screen, mouth agape, before finally exclaiming, " I just f-ing got it!" All-caps messages scroll through the chat as viewers share their joy and disbelief at what they just witnessed. During that minute, CarnyJared doesn't say a word as he focuses intently on executing the notes. Whereas "Soulless 4" is twelve minutes long and "Soulless 5" is around seventeen minutes, "Soulless 6" lasts less than one minute. "Soulless 6" was a joke, however, and few ever suspected it could even theoretically be FCd.
FrostedGH went on in 2020 to FC "Soulless 5" at 110% speed, another unimaginable accomplishment. Most recently, "Soulless 4" and "Soulless 5" were both FCd for the first time in 2019 by DarklyInDarkness and FrostedGH, respectively.

Since the decline of Guitar Hero and Rock Band in the mainstream over the last six years, the free and open-source GH clone on PC, Clone Hero, has been the most popular place for players to upload and play a number of GH tracks, including the "Soulless" series. The charts, all created by ExileLord, go beyond what defines hard in the peripheral-based rhythm game franchise and instead broach the realm of physically impossible.

Though technically unofficial Guitar Hero III tracks, the "Soulless" series has haunted the GH community on PC for over a decade. Guitar Hero modder and Clone Hero developer ExileLord initially released the chart as an April Fools joke back in 2011. Twitch streamer and Guitar Hero legend CarnyJared has become the first player to ever 100% FC (Full Combo) the infamous "Soulless 6" song, a feat previously thought to be impossible.
