So this is all me just having crazy ideas. I want to make clear that I know this is a VERY small team. I know that having fish is something that may just be a little outside the dev team’s reach. Since I have decided to be kind of pie-in-the-sky about this, being able to put things like lily pads in there would be exciting as well. Especially if the whole deal about customization still held true and I could make it as big or as small as I like. I also think that that would be wonderful. A lawn that you don’t have to maintain and given that I am imagining this in the area we are moving to – the Pacific Northwest – it would be somewhere that wouldn’t have to worry about rain. There is another thing that I think would be interesting – moss lawn. My partner wants a rock garden, and I actually do think that would be fantastic too. Grass is super pretty, and I think it’s super rad, but there’s something I would love to see in my dream home build. My partner is also doing a post like this, and when she is done with it, I will be linking it in as well. This is all stuff that hasn’t been in what they have shown and that I think would be hella rad. But it got me to thinking – what else would I like to see? Since the people who are making this game have shown themselves to be really open to feedback, I mean to send this to them and hopefully they see this as good ideas and not me being critical, because I don’t mean for it to sound like that. The level of customization options here is fantastic. I already did a First Take video ( linked here), where I looked at their trailer where they really show off some of the things you can do. One of the biggest ones that has really taken the fore-front of our lives is the upcoming simulation-style game, Paralives. It’s pretty much just the two of us talking about our respective nerd hobbies. If you want to check out more of TechRaptor's E3 2021 and related summer event coverage, click here.Given that my partner and I are living together now, and that my social circle is pretty small anyway (not even accounting for one of my besties being away for Navy deployment), my life is pretty insular. For now, you can add Lakeburg Legacies to your wishlist on Steam.

You'll be able to buy this game sometime in 2022 you can check out its PC Gaming Show trailer to see some gameplay. The people in this game are also procedurally generated, so no two playthroughs will be the same. It won't just be a matter of playing matchmaker, though - you'll also have to navigate all sorts of potential pitfalls like a person's preferences (and flaws) along with the occasional random event. Couples will have children which will inherit those characteristics, helping your village grow larger as time goes on. Every person has their own traits, skills, and stats. Specifically, your job is to pair up villages into couples with the goal of making the village happy and prosperous. Lakeburg Legacies is a "social-based village managed sim" with a big focus on family. This game isn't quite the same as AlterLife and Paralives - you're managing a much larger community of people.

Games Like The Sims at E3 2021 – Lakeburg Legaciesįinally, we have Lakeburg Legacies. You can also support the developer's work on Patreon. Sadly, there's no release date just yet, but you can add Paralives to your wishlist on Steam. You can watch the Paralives E3 2021 trailer to see a bit of the game in action. There are promises of customizable characters, pets, and an open-world neighborhood, but none of that content has been revealed just yet. We've certainly heard about how things are planned, but there isn't much in the way of details of the exact features in the game just yet (much less how the people will work in this game).

Much like AlterLife, this game is still in a pre-alpha state.ĭespite this recent early look at building, there's still an awful lot we don't know. That interview also highlighted some innovations on the gameplay from The Sims such as the ability to build without the use of a grid whatsoever. The fruits of that labor were recently shown off in a lengthy 11-minute video, showing off how building a house works. As a 2019 Game Informer interview explains, Massé's early focus was on building mechanics.
